Coronavirus Job Opportunities

It will not have escaped your attention that we are in the midst of a Coronavirus pandemic. It is a global health crisis and it is also an economic crisis. As governments around the world struggle to contain the coronavirus outbreak, many have lost their jobs because their places of work have been forcibly shutdown as part of lockdown restrictions.

Despite this bleak outlook there are some industries that are benefitting from the crisis. In this video, I discuss 4 industries that are recruiting right now as a response to the coronavirus crisis. There are quite a lot of coronavirus job opportunities. If you find yourself newly out of work, this post will help you. All of the links that I refer to in the video are in the video’s description box.

Next Steps

If you are interested in any of the job opportunities that I mentioned in the video, click on the links in the description and follow the instructions to make an application. Once you have applied, let me know how you get on via the comments section below.

Extra Cash

Most of us would appreciate the chance to earn some extra cash but from my anecdotal research I know that few people seriously consider the opportunity to make extra cash by referring their friends for relevant jobs.

It’s not just a pipe dream, it can be your reality too. In this video, I discuss 2  websites that will enable you to do just that; you do not have to be a recruitment consultant to connect your friends with jobs to help them continue or improve their career.  The websites I discuss are just examples, there are many more offering similar incentives for helping companies to find the right staff. If you live outside of the countries I discuss in the video, do not lose heart because there are likely to be similar offers in your country too.

Referring Friends

In the video, the first website I discuss relates to the American employment market and then the second is relevant for the United Kingdom employment market.

Referring friends for relevant jobs can be a fairly lucrative activity because ultimately you will receive an amount equivalent to a percentage of the new employee’s salary without having to do a lot of work.  It can be an excellent way of generating extra cash.

How Does it Work?

In the video, I discuss specific websites that will enable you to earn extra cash by referring your friends for jobs. Usually your friend will have to be successful with their job application and to keep the job beyond the probation period for you to receive your money.

 Next Steps

Make a list of friends who are looking for work and arrange a time for you to discuss with them the possibility of you referring them for a job. When you have,  let me know in the comments section below.

Increasing Your Income

Often the path to financial freedom isn’t complicated, or at least the next step isn’t, it could simply be that you need to increase your income without adding additional stress to your weekly routine. In this post, I focus on one website that will allow you to do that. As always with any review I publish, I have personal experience and results from using the product or service. I hope that you find it useful too.

Respondent.io Review

In this video, I review the Respondent website. This video will be of interest to people who are interested in earning income online and making money online generally. Respondent is a website that brings together companies wanting qualitative research for their products and services and research participants who are paid for their time taking part in market research interviews.

It is very much a qualitative approach, typically you will be interviewed  via webcam or in person by a market researcher for 45 minutes. Within 8-10 days you will receive payment via PayPal. Respondent is a good way to earn extra cash; in the video I discuss the process of applying for research interviews, the cash amounts available and my personal  experience with Respondent.  You can sign up for Respondent here

Affiliate Marketing

If you do not know anything about affiliate marketing, please read this post first, Is Affiliate Marketing Easy to do?

Affiliate marketing links and banners take time to set up but can prove to be very lucrative in the long run. It makes sense to become an affiliate for programs that drive the best return on investment, in most cases these are the high paying affiliate programs.

In this video, I discuss the top 3 high paying affiliate programs  that I have experienced personally. Before selecting any Affiliate Marketing Program to join, I  reviewed each program to ensure that it was in alignment with my values and those of my business.

Affiliate Programs

There are hundreds of affiliate programs that you can join, it is possible to approach some potential affiliate partners direct and many more can be accessed via an affiliate marketplace. ShareAsale is an example of an affiliate marketplace with over 4500 merchants. After joining ShareASale, it is easy to apply for the the affiliate programs of those merchants; many categories of products and services are represented on the platform.

Boost Your Income With a Temporary Christmas Job : 4 Examples

This post may contain affiliate links please read our disclosure for more info.

If you have spent any time researching ‘making money online’ as I have for this website, you will soon realise that there are lots of articles and videos pointing you towards websites that help you make money. Nothing wrong with that in itself, but when you dig a little deeper you soon find that the opportunity isn’t as appealing as it often presented in videos on YouTube. Let me give you just a couple of examples; survey sites that inform that you are not eligible only after you have been through 50 minutes of screening questions or user testing websites where you are competing with a large online community to be picked for one of the few tests that are available each week.

In this post I want to take an old school approach to boosting your income by concentrating on Christmas seasonal jobs rather than anything online. The reason I am focusing on Christmas seasonal jobs is because many people with money concerns have them because they simply do not earn enough money. Their challenges are not because they are compulsive spenders or cannot budget, it is because they need more monthly income.

The ‘Underemployment’ Trend

In the last ten years, an employment trend has emerged in the UK, this is the trend of underemployment. More adults are working part- time roles because they could not find suitable full time work.  Sports shop retail workers on zero hours contracts are just one example of this phenomenon. According to ONS data, ‘underemployment’ has actually got worse since 2008.  Many adults would be glad of a second job that would allow them to boost their income.

Temporary Christmas Jobs: Examples

In the run up to Christmas, there are always plenty of temporary Christmas jobs available if you know where to look. In the UK, websites including indeed.co.uk. Reed.co.uk and Gumtree.com will be helpful to you if you want to begin your search. Below I have listed 4 examples of temporary Christmas jobs that are currently available.

Temporary Sales Assistant

People are shopping more often because they need to buy presents for Christmas as well as food and other provisions.  Large department stores and supermarkets often need additional staff and many temporary positions do not require experience because training is provided.

Temporary Stock Replenishment (Shelf Stacker)

As a natural consequence of more people shopping more often the shelves and stock cupboards need to be re-filled more frequently and there will be jobs available in the Stock Replenishment team at many department stores and large supermarket stores.

Christmas Postal Worker

At Christmas-time, people send more letters, cards and parcels through the post than during other months creating new jobs for temporary postal workers. The roles available will require you to sort and deliver mail during the run up to Christmas.

Delivery Drivers

Not all Christmas mail is delivered by the Post Office, there will also be a requirement for additional delivery drivers for companies including Amazon. In addition, there are also a host of consumer food apps including Deliveroo, Just eat and Uber Eats that have a constant need for new drivers.

I hope you find this information about Christmas jobs useful. Have you applied for temporary Christmas role? Let me know in the comments section below.
